Dossier · Chris Withers

Experienced entrepreneur and operator with over a decade of work on deep logistic, algorithmic, and economic problems across Asia-Pacific. Focused on multi-sided marketplaces, dynamic pricing, vertical software, and internationalisation — and increasingly on the question of sovereign AI infrastructure for the region.

Singapore-based; Australian by training (University of Queensland); citizen of Asia by adoption. The work has taken me through Indonesia, the Philippines, Bangladesh, Nepal, Japan, and the markets between. Alongside it, I have served in the Australian Army (Reserves).

The thesis underneath all of it: that the most consequential software of this decade will be built for, and from, the regions that today sit outside the gravity of Pax Americana and Sinica — and that sovereignty over the underlying systems matters more, not less, in the age of agentic AI.
